Weekly launches and ranking
When a week starts and ends, how votes rank the board, what a full week means, and what happens when the week closes.
The week
A launch week runs from Monday 00:00 UTC to Sunday 24:00 UTC. Each week has a name like Week 39, its ISO week number, and a permanent address such as /launches/2026-w39.
Launches go live at the start of their week, all at once — there is no launch-day time slot to race for, and nothing to click on the day.
Ranking
The board ranks the week's launches by the votes each one has when the week ends. Only signed-in visitors can vote, once per tool. When two launches tie, a priority launch is placed first; beyond that, the earlier submission wins.
Beside the board, the home page shows the sponsors of the week, last week's top three and the launches queued for next Monday.
Places per week
Every week has a set number of free and priority places, and a few sponsor slots. When the free places of a week are taken, the next free launch goes to the week after. That keeps each week's board short enough for every launch on it to be seen.
When the week closes
At the end of Sunday the ranking is frozen: votes cast later still count on the tool's page, but not on that week's board. The week moves to Past weeks. The top three get a winner's badge to put on their site.
