Privacy Policy

This policy explains what LaunchFill collects, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Account data — when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture; with an emailed code, your email address. We store these plus your language preference.
• Listings you submit — the tool's details, logo and images, and whether you said you are its maker. A published listing is public; your name is not shown on it.
• Votes — which tools you voted for, and when. Vote counts are public; who voted is not.
• Weekly email — if you subscribe, your email address and language, with or without an account.
• Payments — the outcome of an order (what, when, how much). Card details go to our payment provider, Creem, and never reach us.
• Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) kept briefly for security, rate limiting and debugging.
• Product analytics — which pages are visited and which features are used, via PostHog, if enabled. Before you sign in this is tied to a random identifier stored in your browser; after, to your account. We do not record your screen.

Autofill and AI

When you use autofill on the submit form, we fetch the public web page at the address you entered and send its text to an AI model provider (OpenAI) to draft the listing. Only that page's content is sent — not your account data.

Why we use it

To run the directory and the weekly launches, review submissions, count votes fairly, take payments, send the email you asked for (sign-in codes, receipts, review results, the weekly digest), keep the Service secure, understand how it is used so we can improve it, and comply with law. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Cookies

Only cookies the Service needs to work: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and small preference cookies for language and theme. No advertising cookies.

Where it lives and who sees it

Data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure. It is shared only with the providers needed to run the Service — Google (sign-in), Creem (payments), Resend (email), OpenAI (autofill drafts) and PostHog (analytics, if enabled) — each under their own privacy terms.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. Deleting your account from Settings removes your profile and votes; listings you submitted may stay in the directory without your name (see the Terms). Order records may be retained where accounting law requires. Every weekly email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or erase your data, or to object to processing. You can do most of this yourself in Settings; for anything else, email us and we will respond within 30 days.
